Day 1 Arrival in ENTEBBE.

Entebbe International Airport

Meet your professional bird guide and transfer to the hotel for overnight stay. Early arrivals may wish to go birding in the botanical gardens at Entebbe. Stay in Lindsay Cottages or Fairway Hotel.

Day 2 Birding tour to Kibale National Park.

Destination Kibale Forest, home to 13 primate species, including Red Colobus and L'Hoest's Monkey, Galagos, Blue monkey, Red-tailed and Vervet Monkey.

Birds common in Kibale forest: Green-breasted Pitta, which is another sought after bird of Uganda. Other birds include: African Pitta, Grey-winged Robin, Red-winged Francolin, Joyful Greenbul, White-napped Pigeon, Abyssinian Ground Thrush, Red-chested Flufftail, White-bellied Crested Flycatcher, Uganda Woodland Warbler, White-collared Oliveback, Leaf-love, African Broadbill, Willcock's Honeyguide, White-winged Warbler, White-spotted Flufftail, Scaly-throated Honeyguide.

Kibale Forest is also home to Elephants, Buffalos, the Giant Forest Hog and Antelopes. Stay in Chimpanzee Guesthouse, Nature Lodges or Ndali Lodge.

Day 3 Bird Watching Kibale Forest

Murchison Falls National Park

Done with breakfast, our next stop will be Park visitors center to attend Chimpanzee tracking briefing. The tracking offers other opportunities to see Red & Guereza Colobus, Olive Baboon, Grey-cheeked Mangabey, L'Hoest's Blue, Vervet and Red-tailed Monkey. Bush Pig and Buffalo, Bushbuck, Blue, Harvey's and Peter's Duikers.

Black-throated Apalis, Forest Robin, Dusky-blue Flycatcher, African Shrike-flycatcher, Brown and Scaly Breasted illadopses, Fire Crested alethes. Black-bellied Seedcracker inhabits the forest edge, while the canopy holds Red Headed malimbe, Gray-throated, Yellow-spotted & Yellow-billed Barbets, White-naped & Afep Pigeons, Red-chested Owlet and White-headed Wood-hoopoe.

Done with Lunch we bird some more: Crested Guinea Fowl, Narina Trogon, African Emerald Cuckoo, Grey Parrot, Sabine's Spinetail, Black-billed Turaco, White spotted Flufftail, Chestnut Wattle-eye, Red-tailed Ant-Thrush, Blue-shouldered Robin-chat, Red Chested Owlet and more.

Day 3 In Murchison falls

Murchison Falls - as well as game drives, today we will take the cruise up the Nile to the foot of the Falls, a magical trip through some beautiful scenery. The whole of the Nile River is forced into a gap only 8m wide - the immense force of the water and the views of the Falls are awe inspiring.

Day Four Kaniyo Pabidi

A short drive brings us to Sambiya River Lodge, near the Budongo Forest. We overnight at the lodge, and visit the top of the fall, and visit the Kaniyo Pabidi Ecotourist Site - a partnership with the local community. This is an isolated block of the Budongo Forest which has never been logged, and is characterised by its huge mahogany and ironwood trees. This afternoon you can do a forest walk with guides, looking for primates and the incredible bird life such as some rarer species including Chocolate backed and Blue breasted Kingfishers; Black billed Touracos and White thighed Hornbills. Because of its remote location lion, leopard and buffalo are also present, chimpanzees and six other species of primate.

(Day Five and Six) To Kibale Forest NP

Early start for our drive to Kibale Forest, we overnight at Ndali Lodge or at an exclusive tented camp set in the forest area. Once again, please make your preference clear when booking. We visit Kibale Forest, and can trek chimps if desired. Further they have a night primate walk in the forest (additional amount detailed below).

This lodge consists of individual cottages with their own private veranda with views towards the Ruwenzoris, en suite bathrooms and a spacious airy bedroom area. Four poster beds, draped in mosquito nets and decorated with locally made crafts give each cottage an individual feel. The lodge's water supply comes directly from the crater lake 100m below in the crater with an ingenious pressure system and so no external power is needed and ensures hot water is available all the time! The camp is lit with lanterns and candles including spectacular chandeliers above the central dining area which provides for a very romantic atmosphere.
Rooms: 8 individual cottages, catering for between 2-4 persons each.

(Day Six ) Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Early morning departure for Queen Elizabeth. Via Fort Portal we reach at around midday in Bush Lodge/Mweya Lodge in Queen Elizabeth NP with a stunningly beautiful view over Kazinga Channel. In the late afternoon we will make a game drive.

Day 7 Explore Queen Elizabeth

This day is for a game drive on the plains of Queen Elizabeth with thousands of Ugandan kobs, lions, elephants etc. Also on the program is a two hours launch trip on the Kazinga channel where we will see all the animals from the waterside.

Day 8 Explore Queen Elizabeth - South Ishasha area

Our second day in this beautiful park. Very early in the morning after breakfast we will go to Kyambura Gorge. Here people can go for a 3-4 hour walk into the Gorge to meet the chimpanzees. After Lunch at Jacana Safari Lodge, we will drive for 2 hours to the Southern sector of Queen Elizabeth called Ishasha Sector, famous for its tree climbing lions. Game drive in the afternoon to search for the tree climbing lions.

Day 9 To Bwindi

In the morning we leave Queen Elizabeth national park for Bwindi forest. The bad road takes us through a beautiful landscape. We pass mountains, hills and lakes with cultivated terraces and tropical rainforest and bamboo forest.

Day 10 Gorilla trekking in Bwindi

The day is for Gorilla tracking, in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and for pre-briefing and at 8:30 you will start the trek, after finding the Gorillas you will spend with maximum 1 hour. All visitors are expected back to the starting point by 7:00 P:M. the walks can take 3-9 hours depending on where you find the Gorillas. It is a real hiking and being physically fit is recommend
